  - I have taken my dog to PawSpa every 4-6 weeks for the past 6 months. She is a yorkie, so we let her hair grow and had her trimmed around her face and a hygiene and foot trim. Today, there was a different groomer, Heather, and she called me to ask what kind of cut, I said a Yorkie trim - we wanted to keep her body hair long - just like we usually did. When I went to pick Gigi up, I was charged a $5.00 extra "matting" fee. Funny thing is - when I brought her in the staff commented on how pretty her hair was and she was not matted and that it was obvous we brushed her. They brought Gigi out and she was shaved bald all over. I was so surprised and ask what happened and the groomer came out and said "she was so matted on her chest and back legs and it would have looked funny if I had just shaved her in the matted areas." I said you can't just shave a dog - I left but called back and told the person who I believe was the owner, that I was unhappy and what had happened. She said she was sorry and that the groomer had called me. While I was trying to explain that noone ever mentioned any matting or that she would be shaved, she hung up on me. Gigi also has a cut on her head -
